Procession is one of the clearest advocacy paintings in the archive.

The work ties cliffs, clouds, and human history into a single vertical field and carries Chamberlain's concern for cultural sites and desert memory.

After the painting was shown in Thrive 125, the Utah Department of Heritage and Arts purchased the image rights.
